Upstate Medical University Arena The Onondaga County War Memorial opened in 1951 as one of the finest multi-purpose auditoriums in the United States. During it's storied history, the arena has hosted some of the most well-known musical acts and served as home to the NBA's Syracuse Nationals, NLL's Syracuse Smash and several AHL franchises. The building received its first complete renovation in 1993 with the addition of the Oncenter and its designation as a State and National Landmark. In 2018, the War Memorial Arena received a major renovation, including the addition of six luxury suites, a premier club level, a new state-of-the-art scoreboard and updates to the facility that provide an exciting fan experience and restore the arena to it's state-of-the-art status.

On Dec. 20, 2019, Onondaga County, Upstate Medical University and the Syracuse Crunch announced an 11-year sponsorship agreement that includes naming rights of the Upstate Medical University Arena at Onondaga County War Memorial along with health programming and the continuation of Upstate’s sponsorship with the Syracuse Crunch.

From the East and West
690 East or West, West Street Exit, follow West Street, 5th light left on Shonnard Street which turns into East Adams. Follow East Adams, 7th light turn left onto South State Street, right into the Oncenter Complex Parking Garage.
